Spotify Wrapped Tableau Visualization

This data visualization was inspired by Spotify Wrapped. I found out that Spotify allows users to request their complete usage data in the form of JSON files. I used Python to stitch those files together and Tableau to build data visuals showing my listening by artist, genre and song over the past 10 years.

The visual is also filterable by year and includes running totals towards the bottom. Each graph also acts as it’s own filter (i.e. click on Fred again.. to see top songs and genre specific to that artist). Additionally, the “Listens Over Time” tab visualizes my top artists by year and holistically based on minutes listened.
